Job description

Leads multiple projects simultaneously, including the evaluation and implementation of manpower and systems projects designed to reduce operating and expenses, increase revenues and enhance customer service. Leads the development and implementation of operating plans and to perform engineering work, conducting studies, preparing data and developing models and analytical tools for use by engineers and operations. Sets strategy which leads to the transformation of business processes and operational tools to enable global excellence.

BS degree in industrial engineering or another related engineering discipline. Seven (7) years experience in industrial engineering or related engineering experience. Strong analytical, computer and communication skills.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Math required. OR
• An equivalency of four (4) additional years' experience in the areas below + minimum required experience with a high school diploma/GED or unrelated Bachelor's degree. Experience in the following areas include:
• The transportation industry in a a relevant operations management role OR o Industrial Engineering experience in any field.

Minimum Experience

• No Industrial Engineering Experience with relevant degree required. OR
• 1 year Area/Sort/P&D Manager experience required.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
• Working knowledge of Business Objects.
• Verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information.
• Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.
• Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs.
• Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.
• Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.
• Knowledge of concepts related to Material Handling, Computer Aided Design, and Business Object preferred.
• Ability to perform cost justification analysis.

Pay: $73,554.00 - $113,538.35/yr

In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
