Job summary

Seagate Technology Inc. is seeking skilled Engineering Technicians for maintenance and repair of photos, plates, and test equipment in the Wafer Fab Cleanroom at the Bloomington, MN site.

You will read schematics, work with PLCs and robotics, and follow PM instructions to minimize downtime. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, safety awareness, and willingness to work nights and weekends on a 6:30 PM–6:30 AM shift.

Qualifications

• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Photo, Plate, and Test equipment in Wafer fabrication.
• Knowledge of electronic circuits, PLC’s, Robotics and able to read schematics.
• Able to follow and complete PM instructions.
• Maintains, repairs and troubleshoots equipment to meet company standards and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
• Administers training programs on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
• Works with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and improvements.
• May guide other non-exempt personnel on assignments.
• Able to work nights and weekends; B Shift schedule 6:30 PM–6:30 AM.

We are looking for skilled Engineering Technicians on multiple shifts. In this position, you will work on maintenance related activities on equipment in our Wafer Fab Cleanroom and actively interact cross-functionally with Process, RD, and Manufacturing departments. We are a team-oriented organization with a priority to enhance technician skills at all levels in the department.

About The Role - You Will

• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Photo, Plate, and Test equipment in Wafer fabrication.
• Knowledge of electronic circuits, PLC’s, Robotics and able to read schematics
• Able to follow and complete PM instructions
• Maintains, repairs and troubleshoots equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures
• minimum equipment downtime. Includes Technicians that repair and maintain production and production test
• equipment
• Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures
• Administers training programs to ensure: Proper equipment operation, preventive maintenance, repair
• programs and procedures
• Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and
• makes recommendations for solutions
• Determine methods and procedures on new assignments
• May provide guidance to other non-exempt personnel. As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in creative
• and effective ways
• Able to work Nights and weekends
• B Shift — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Thursday from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

Your Experience Includes

• Experience with MS Office
• Preferred Software and Hardware experience
• Related experience in the field, post-secondary education is preferred in the equipment maintenance field / relevant military experience

The estimated base wage range for this position is $27.37 - $35.58/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
