Job description

Overview

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology.

ArsenalOS is the digital backbone of Anduril’s hardware enterprise, connecting the full lifecycle from concept to field feedback into a single operating environment designed for speed, traceability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Know the tips, tricks, and workarounds that make engineers 10x more productive.
  • Generate training content that is clear, practical, and solves real problems.
  • Form recommendations based on deep experimentation and hands‑on testing, not just manual instructions.
  • Adapt quickly when a better way is discovered and update recommendations without ego.
  • Seek user feedback and iterate on processes based on real‑world results.
  • Optimize data flow through downstream systems.
  • Identify overlapping capabilities and optimize for global organization.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to finish business‑critical projects.
  • Help troubleshoot technical issues related to deployment, configuration, and ongoing support.
Required Characteristics
  • Bias for action: ask for forgiveness, not permission, and avoid waiting to be told what to do.
  • Outcome‑oriented: focus on business value rather than just specification compliance.
  • Customer focused: display user empathy to boost engagement and build delightful experiences.
  • Strong product sense: identify when to focus on end‑user experience versus enterprise functionality.
  • Dive deep: investigate root causes of systemic issues, whether technical or user‑related.
  • Ownership: care for all business outcomes the system supports and hold oneself accountable.
  • Agility: change direction easily and without regret, adapting quickly to shifting priorities.
  • First principles thinking: develop solutions based on what is best for the enterprise, not vendor defaults.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a design engineering role building products, ideally in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent education/work experience).
  • Prioritize solutions that deliver immediate value to engineers over perfect but complex approaches.
  • Understand that adoption is as important as capability: the best process is the one people actually use.
  • Deep expertise in at least one engineering discipline and its associated tool stack (CAD, CAE, PLM, or discipline‑specific applications).
  • Strong understanding of engineering workflows from concept through production.
  • Hands‑on experience using engineering design tools and the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find practical solutions.
  • U.S. Person (required for export control).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with a wide array of engineering design tools across multiple disciplines.
  • Training, instructional design, or technical education experience.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting, automation, or tool customization.
  • Understanding of data flow between engineering systems (CAD, PLM, ERP, MES).
  • Experience in startup, defense, aerospace, or high‑growth manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill and their integration with design tools.
  • Background supporting cross‑functional engineering teams in complex product development.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.

US Salary Range: $129,000 – $171,000 USD.
