Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Engineering Software and Analysis Interns for an internship at the Mission Systems sector in Sunnyvale, CA. The qualified candidate will join Northrop Grumman's Marine Systems Business Unit and support engineering analysis, data processing, and software tool development.

Ideal students are enrolled full-time in engineering or CS, can commit 10 weeks in summer 2027, and can pursue a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Qualifications

• Be a student enrolled full-time pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering or CS.
• Majoring in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or related STEM with CS/Software.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.
• Strong foundation in engineering principles, applied mathematics, physics, and numerical methods.
• Programming in Python, including scripting, calculations and data analysis.
• Working knowledge of statistics and their application to engineering analysis.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.
