Job summary

The City of New Haven is seeking an Engineering Resource Analyst & Scheduler to coordinate capital project schedules, track milestones, and deliver actionable dashboards and reports for leadership and stakeholders.

You will develop systems to manage timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress, translating complex data into clear communications for engineers and city officials. This role requires collaboration across departments and occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field with 1–2 years of project management or data analytics experience.
• In lieu of a degree, four additional years of civil engineering project coordination experience may substitute.
• Strong proficiency in scheduling, data visualization, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develops standards for project scheduling using Microsoft Project/Planner.
• Leads regular check-ins with engineers to monitor status and risks.
• Maintains systems for deadlines (contracts, grants) and reporting.
• Quantifies and reports metrics on capital project delivery.
• Creates dashboards and reports to communicate progress to leadership.
• Tracks resident inquiries and communicates project updates to stakeholders.
• Presents data to engineers, leadership, and external stakeholders.
