Job summary

FM Approvals is seeking a mid-level Quality Auditor to independently schedule and conduct conformity assessment audits at customer sites. You will review technical documentation, product markings, inspection equipment, and calibration records for compliance; deliver clear audit reports and communicate findings with stakeholders.

This role requires approximately 70% travel, with potential overnight stays. You will work with a team of auditors in the Auditing and Quality Assurance department to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, industrial engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in manufacturing process experience.
• 5+ years in quality assurance and auditing.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site audits of manufacturing facilities to verify compliance with FM Approvals requirements.
• Review technical documentation, product markings, inspection equipment, and calibration records for compliance.
• Deliver clear, professional audit reports and communicate findings with all stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with manufacturers by managing customer interactions and maintaining integrity, impartiality and confidentiality throughout the audit process.
• Document facts and observations to support audit findings and conclusions.
• Efficiently manage audit schedules.
