Primary Role

The Engineering Project Specialist assists project managers in designing and constructing water resource projects, supporting capital teams with tracking and managing the capital program. Responsibilities include data input/analysis, project spend tracking, asset management, documentation, and supporting departmental needs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in implementing and managing InVision & eBuilder applications.
  • Perform data quality assurance activities.
  • Manage and track the electrical safety program.
  • Track recommendations from property insurers and resolve issues.
  • Support engineering initiatives and coordinate data requests.
  • Administer work processes related to design, project delivery, and construction.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Analyze departmental data and prepare reports.
  • Assist in budget documentation and expenditure monitoring.
  • Maintain records, drawings, reports, and project data.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Knowledge of InVision and eBuilder preferred.
  • Understanding of engineering design, project management, and water utility operations.
  • Strong business judgment, multitasking, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills for team collaboration and motivation.

Experience/Education

  • Associate’s degree in Applied Science, Engineering, or related field, or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience.

Scope

Entry-level individual contributor role.

Travel Requirements

Up to 10% as needed.

Certifications/Licenses

Valid Driver’s License required.

Work environment: primarily indoor office with occasional field work.
