Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Engineering Project Officer to combine technical skills with big-picture thinking for DoD defense systems in New Jersey. As a systems engineer, you will guide design, development, and evolution of high-quality, customized solutions for mission-critical programs.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in an engineering discipline such as systems or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience performing engineering analysis on systems and components.
  • Experience deriving requirements (functional, non-functional, technical) to guide development and implementation.
  • Experience in the development and analysis of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Ability to run failure-investigation teams to identify technical issues and propose resolutions.
  • Ability to develop and execute test plans and analyze results.
  • Ability to support the program manager with cost and schedule estimates.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

You will broaden your skill set into areas such as munitions propulsion and merge systems engineering with modernization requirements to enhance lethality, performance, survivability, and safety across critical defense programs.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in an engineering discipline such as systems or mechanical engineering
  • Experience performing engineering analysis on systems and components
  • Experience deriving requirements (functional, non‑functional, technical) to guide development and implementation

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
