Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a systems engineer to help design and develop high-quality DoD defense solutions in a hybrid role based in Wharton, New Jersey. The position emphasizes translating real-world needs into technical specifications while advancing weapon system modernization and program management capabilities.

The candidate will lead engineering efforts, analyze systems, develop WBS/IMS, run failure investigations, and support cost and schedule estimates to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an engineering discipline such as systems or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience performing engineering analysis on systems and components.
  • Experience deriving various types of requirements, including functional, non-functional, and technical specifications, to guide development and implementation.
  • Experience in the development and analysis of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Ability to run failure investigation teams to identify technical issues and propose resolutions.
  • Ability to develop and execute test plans and analyze results.
  • Ability to support the program manager with cost and schedule estimates.

You Have:

Experience in an engineering discipline such as systems or mechanical engineering

Experience performing engineering analysis on systems and components

Experience deriving various types of requirements, including functional, non-functional, and technical specifications, to guide development and implementation

Experience in the development and analysis of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)

Nice If You Have:

Knowledge of precision guided artillery systems, including warheads, fuzing, airframe, and guidance technologies

Knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle

Ability to lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) discussions and present findings to senior leaders

Ability to work in a dynamic environment

Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
