Job summary

Garmin Ltd. is seeking a full-time Project Manager 2 Engineering in the New Century hangar. You will develop and execute project plans for Garmin’s Aircraft Certification team, create planning tools, and collaborate across teams to scope, milestones and decisions.

The role supports process improvements and effective stakeholder communication. The position requires a technical degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, strong academics, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination
• GPA of 3.0 or higher where applicable
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Understand production and operations issues as they relate to engineering project management

Responsibilities

• Applies project management skills on medium to large engineering projects of average complexity, including scope, milestones and decisions
• Identifies and supports process improvement activities
• Drives projects to closure with risk mitigation plans and mentor guidance
• Maintains project status, documentation and reporting using established tools
• Leads effective team meetings and communicates scope, schedule and costs to stakeholders
• Builds relationships and alignment within the department
• Resolves conflicts through understanding interdependencies and constructive relationships
