Job summary

Garmin International is seeking a full-time Project Manager 2 Engineering at our New Century hangar to develop and execute project plans for Garmin’s Aircraft Certification team. The Project Manager will develop project planning tools to assist teams in scoping and scheduling their projects.

The Project Manager will collaborate with other teams by understanding, developing, and communicating project scope, milestones, and decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and minimum 2 years relevant experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Applies PM skills on medium to large engineering projects including scope, milestones, and decisions.
• Identifies and supports process improvement activities.
• Drives projects to closure with mitigation plans and mentor support.
• Maintains clear project status, documentation, and reporting.
• Communicates effectively and handles challenging conversations.
• Builds relationships and gains cross-team alignment.
• Identifies and resolves conflicts through understanding interdependencies.
• Leads effective and efficient team meetings.
• Keeps stakeholders informed of scope, schedule and cost.
• Demonstrates project ownership with mentor involvement and single point of contact.
