Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to direct and manage multiple engineering projects of moderate risk and complexity across several crafts. The role involves independent work and guiding junior PMs, focusing on scope, budget and schedule.

The position may be filled in Houston, TX; Pittsburgh, PA; or Tulsa, OK. Candidates should have a four-year engineering or construction management degree and strong PM/P&L experience, with PMI certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Mechanical, Civil or Industrial Engineering or Construction Management
• 8+ years PM/P&L experience including 4+ years of supervisory experience
• PMI Project Management Certification preferred
• Strong understanding of corporate and industry practices and standards
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time, on budget, and safely
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under time-sensitive deadlines

Responsibilities

• Initiates and maintains liaison with client to facilitate engineering and construction activities, including assessing scope of work and resources required to complete project
• Represents Company at bid meetings, project meetings, strategy meetings, and other applicable discussions
• Plans, organizes and staffs key positions through department heads or subordinate project/construction managers
• Supervises and monitors engineering to ensure project is delivered within design, budget and schedule
• Develops new business opportunities relative to clients or geographic area
