Under limited supervision, oversees all engineering projects including design, construction documentation, surveying, bid and construction administration, and performs the managerial, supervisory and administrative functions of the engineering design section.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, physical requirements, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a directly related discipline from an accredited institution and seven (7) years of direct work experience in the civil engineering design field, three (3) years of which must be in a supervisory capacity. Must possess a Professional Engineering (PE) License in the State of Tennessee. A valid driver’s license is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work requires minimal physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, walking and driving. Occasional visits to project work sites are required.
