Perform onsite field research to ascertainnecessary information for single lines and floor plans of electrical devicesand building electrical infrastructure.
- o Devices include switchgears, switchboards,panels, disconnects, transformers, and electrical equipment
- * Take pictures of electrical devices andbuilding electrical infrastructure
- * Assist with scheduling off hour and weekendshutdowns to perform work
- * Work will require some off hour and weekendwork
- * Develop single lines and floor plans ofelectrical infrastructure and electrical devices in buildings
- * Perform electrical assessment of buildings
- * Develop electrical assessment report
- o Includes all necessary pictures
- o Link assessment to pictures to floor plans
- o Perform a life safety, code compliant, anddeficiency assessment
- o Populate life safety, code compliant, anddeficiencies tracking files
- * Label equipment with incoming volts/amplabels, fed from labels, etc.
- * Determine overloaded circuits and conduits
- * Determine grounding issues
- * Perform minor electrical upgrades such asadding wire nuts to exposed electrical, outlet covers, junction box covers,panel hole covers, breaker covers, etc.
- * Input projects into FirstEnergy’s facilitydatabase for future project planning
- o this person will be trained properly to dothis.
- o OPPM needs to remain as clean as possible
- * Attend meetings as necessary
- * Provide single lines in pdf and AutoCAD format
- * Work with FirstEnergy engineers to perform arcflash assessment
Requirements
- Apply arc flash assessment labels
- Take responsibility for the quality assuranceand control of assigned work, including identification of quality requirements,responsibility for agreed upon quality assurance program and if required,oversee the review and approval process for contractor provided procedures
- Prepare and present status reports formanagement. Reports entail recurring, standard reports and ad hoc reports thataddress status of scope, budget and schedule that identify risks and issues,and outlines mitigation strategies
- Communicate goals, priorities and decisions tothe Leadership Team
- Partner with operating companies and otherbusiness units from conception and planning through construction and turnover.This includes obtaining concurrence (or buy-in) from affected departments tosupport the proposed schedule, resource requirements, and review and approvalof project plans
- Ensure project close-out and lessons-learnedreviews are completed. Participate in audit of completed work to evaluatewhether identified objectives and benefits have been realized
