Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in Goleta, CA, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead the development and execution of engineering projects focused on infrared cameras, components, and accessory products.

You will drive milestones, budgets, and quality, coordinate with Product Management, and guide engineering teams through the product development lifecycle using Lean and formal PM practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of project or program management experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to drive results and meet deadlines in dynamic environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Lean Development experience is a plus.
• Formal PM training, PMP certification, MBA, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage multiple engineering projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring high-quality product development.
• Drive project milestones, budgets, deliverables, and quality objectives while communicating status through processes and metrics.
• Maintain active risk management plans for schedule, technical, supplier, and program-related issues withStakeholders.
• Provide leadership to engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle per Design Control Process.
• Partner with Product Management to define project requirements and manage changes to baselines.
• Coordinate with internal teams and leadership to meet development and manufacturing goals.
• Support project planning, including resource allocation, prioritization, scheduling, forecasting, and estimation.
• Assist in budgeting and management of departmental budgets.
• Support proposal activities and maintain scope estimates for future opportunities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
