Collins Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Project Assistant to support software and systems engineers with administrative, documentation, process, and general engineering tasks. This onsite role emphasizes detail, organization, and cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include facilitating change management, preparing reports, granting access, and coordinating with engineers and managers to ensure timely delivery of project artifacts.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • JIRA experience preferred.
  • Experience assisting engineering teams or other supportive role.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Presentation preparation experience.

  • Provide tools expertise and support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management and tracking tools.
  • Generate reports as required.
  • Permissions administration.
  • Fielding network account access requests and NDA paperwork.
  • Granting access to new team members.
  • Administering program permission groups.
  • Third party bid review support.
  • Interfaces with engineers and engineering managers.
  • Ensure compliance with Third-Party IP processes.
  • Collect metrics and support presentation materials for analysis.
  • Work with Engineering to train on processes and tools.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements.
  • Track action items and tasks in change management process.
  • Act as primary focal and liaison for program support across departments.
  • Network with internal and external personnel at multiple levels.
  • Work on assignments given by engineering teams.
  • Resolve issues with engineering teams.
  • Edit documentation formats.
  • Prepare presentations.
  • Coordinate interactions of project teams and support functions to communicate schedule and status.

As an Engineering Project Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting software and systems engineers with administrative, documentation, process, and general engineering related support activities. Individuals must demonstrate the ability to support several engineers, providing a wide variety of administrative and computer skills to assist engineering projects.

Assignments typically include:

  • Preliminary document formatting and preparation utilizing computing resources with a variety of applications
  • Performs as primary engineering support focal point for inquiries and problem resolution
  • Support to the release and revision phases of the engineering development cycle
  • Performs project non-technical duties

Qualifications

The salary range for this role is 47,700 USD - 90,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
