Job summary

FITS LLC in Ponce, Puerto Rico, seeks a Senior MES Program Lead with a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in the pharmaceutical/medical devices industry to drive MES initiatives on complex programs.

You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure alignment with PMO standards; SAP/BPCS experience is valued. A customer‑facing, results‑oriented professional culture is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 10+ years in Pharma/Medical Devices.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience leading MES initiatives and cross‑functional programs; SAP/BPCS familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall program leadership and governance for MES initiatives.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor MES projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Serve as liaison between project teams, site leadership, functional partners, and vendors.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, SOW execution, vendor performance, and internal resources.
  • Assess complex issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead risk, issue, and change management, ensuring PMO adherence to standards.
  • Provide clear project status reporting and executive insights on progress and financials.
  • Drive continuous improvement by strengthening delivery processes and tools.

  • Experience in:
    • Leading and managing the execution of projects and operational initiatives within a technical or professional discipline.
    • Project or program management with an understanding of downstream impacts across the organization.
    • Manufacturing Execution System experience (Critical Manufacturing preferred)
    • BPCS and SAP experience

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)
  • Provide overall program leadership and governance for MES initiatives, defining objectives, success metrics, operating cadence, and escalation paths.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor MES projects from initiation through delivery, owning integrated schedules, dependencies, risks, and outcomes across cross‑functional and departmental teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, site leadership, functional partners, and vendors to ensure alignment, transparency, and timely decision‑making.
  • Manage financial and resource aspects of the program, including budgets, forecasts, SOW execution, vendor performance, and efficient allocation of internal resources.
  • Assess complex, ambiguous project issues and develop effective resolutions to meet productivity, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Lead risk, issue, and change management activities, ensuring adoption readiness and adherence to PMO, quality, and enterprise standards.
  • Provide clear, concise project status reporting and executive‑level insights on progress, risks, and financials.
  • Drive continuous improvement by strengthening delivery processes, tools, and consistency of execution, capturing lessons learned to improve future initiatives.
