Job summary

DuPont is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead complex medical device development and commercialization programs in a regulated environment, onsite in Minneapolis.

You will align cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, quality, regulatory, supply chain and commercial to meet objectives, manage budgets, and drive Stage-Gate governance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related technical discipline.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • 10+ years of experience leading complex product development, commercialization, or manufacturing programs in a regulated industry.
  • Experience in new product development, design controls, technology transfer, and commercialization processes.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and regulated product development requirements.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Minneapolis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead programs through all phases of NPCF from opportunity assessment to commercial launch.
  • Serve as primary program leader coordinating engineering, operations, quality, regulatory, supply chain, commercial, and customer stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans including scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain relationships with medical device OEMs.
  • Lead governance activities including Stage Gate Reviews and executive updates.
  • Drive risk identification, mitigation, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and design controls; oversee design inputs/outputs, validation, and production transfer.
  • Manage program financial performance including budgets, revenue, and forecasting.
  • Lead commercialization and technology transfer across global sites.
  • Support business growth through customer strategy discussions and development of execution strategies.
  • Communicate status, risks, and key decisions to customers and leadership.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Lead programs through all phases of the New Product Commercialization Framework (NPCF-Global and NPCF-Lite projects), from opportunity assessment through commercial launch, ensuring achievement of program objectives, timelines, and business outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary program leader and cross-functional coordinator, aligning engineering, operations, quality, regulatory, supply chain, commercial, and customer stakeholders to execute strategic program objectives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and critical deliverables, ensuring proactive management of program performance.
  • Build and maintain trusted customer relationships, positioning the organization as a strategic development and manufacturing partner for medical device OEMs.
  • Lead program governance activities, including Stage Gate Reviews, executive updates, and steering committee presentations, ensuring informed decision making and adherence to Stage Gate requirements.
  • Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution through active management of program risk registers, escalations, and contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality, regulatory, and design control requirements, including design inputs, design outputs, verification, validation, and production transfer activities.
  • Manage program financial performance, including development revenue, non-recurring engineering (NRE), budget accountability, scope management, purchase order coverage, and forecasting.
  • Lead commercialization and technology transfer activities to support sustainable, efficient, repeatable, and scalable manufacturing operations across global sites.
  • Support business growth through participation in customer strategy discussions, opportunity assessments, establishing business cases, and development of program execution strategies.
  • Communicate program status, risks, financial performance, and key decisions clearly and effectively to customers, leadership teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance commercialization effectiveness, project execution, customer experience, and organizational capability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.
  • 10+ years of experience leading complex product development, commercialization, or manufacturing programs within a regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in new product development, design controls, technology transfer, and commercialization processes.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, quality, regulatory, supply chain, commercial, and customer organizations without direct authority.
  • Strong understanding of program management disciplines, including scope, schedule, resource planning, risk management, financial management, and stage-gate governance.
  • Experience managing program financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, business cases, development revenue, and resource planning.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485, medical device design controls, and regulated product development requirements.
  • Experience in medical device contract design, development, or manufacturing environments.
  • Ability and willingness to work primarily onsite, preferably in Minneapolis, to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, customer engagement, and program execution.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Works with minimal supervision from manager. Requires light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities.
