Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking an Engineering Project Manager II to lead planning and execution of product development activities, including new product introductions, cost reduction, technology integration, and lifecycle support. This role requires strong technical and cross-functional leadership, PM expertise, and experience with quality systems and business planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Marketing, or other technical discipline OR equivalent work experience.
7 years of progressive work experience in engineering, brand/product management of equipment, machinery, or other powered products.
5 years of project management experience in manufacturing of industrial/commercial equipment, machinery, or other powered products.
Preferred: Demonstrated project management experience with cross-functional teams and full system product releases.

Responsibilities

Provide project management leadership to teams for new product development projects, including schedules and development plans.
Convert product requirements into project scope, design and realization plans.
Lead key project execution with engineering and product management for new product development initiatives.
Manage projects to schedule, cost, scope and quality commitments.
Aim for target product cost and lifecycle cost targets for customers.
Define risk mitigation plans and drive contingency assessments when needed.
