Mission/Purpose of the Job
The Engineering, Procurement & Construction Sales Specialist (EPC) is responsible for the sales of new equipment to EPC’s (Engineering, Procurement Construction) Companies supporting the Process Markets (Chemical, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical etc...) and the industry key end-user accounts. They are responsible for communicating with the customer to facilitate both contract and bid management.
The EPC Specialist is responsible for delivering on the sales targets established for this position through the establishment and maintenance of the sales relationship with each EPC and/or end-user client/prospect in their portfolio at every level from the executive suite to departmental line managers to engineers to procurement.
The EPC Sales Specialist is to promote Product, Services and Solution agreements that encompass all of Edwards Vacuum offerings and range in scale from short-term consulting engagements to complex, multi-service, multi-year and global partnerships. Specific new sales/revenue targets are established annually by the EPC Process Vacuum Manager for the EPC Sales Specialist.

Educational requirements
• University degree (Bachelor/Masters) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience requirements
• Result-oriented and experienced professional (5-10 years) with proven senior experience in rotating equipment industry, more specifically within the process industry (petrochemical, chemical, power, O&G).
• Extensive experience working with EPC’s in both the quotation/proposal generation as well as project execution phases for complex systems involving multiple components such as motors, drives, heat transfer technology, vessels, instrumentation and controls.
• Ability to review and interpret complex EPC and end-user specifications as well as lead all efforts within the organization and with major suppliers in order to offer technically advantageous solutions at a competitive price and within acceptable lead times.
• Ability to lead technical and commercial documentation in a detail-oriented fashion.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects, working with internal and external personnel to meet deadlines.
• Ability to learn and use new business and technical software, including customer document submittal portals.
• Ability to understand the general technical aspects of the products being sold.
• High proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
Knowledge
• Strong technical competency in rotating equipment and various applications within the process industry.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Knowledge in SAP advantageous.
• Excellent command of English in both writing and speaking, other languages advantageous.
