Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks an Engineering Process Administrator in West Los Angeles. This hybrid role reports to the VP of R&D with dotted line to VP of Engineering.

You will oversee engineering/R&D processes, documentation, budgeting, schedules, and deliverables while ensuring compliance and security requirements. Hybrid schedule requiring at least 3 onsite days; responsibilities include coordinating with HR/Legal/Finance/IT and maintaining access controls,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree + 4 years of experience in engineering process management or equivalent OR High School diploma and 8 years of experience in engineering process management or implementation.
  • Demonstrated effective reporting and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with contractual requirements on engineering projects, documentation and deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, PDF tools, and Google tools.
  • Current active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 12–15 months; US Citizen per contract.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Work with HR, Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure engineering processes meet requirements.
  • Draft and regularly update engineering process guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date physical and digital access controls with IT.
  • Collaborate on CMMC, ISO, and other compliance services.
  • Compile monthly schedules, budget, and status for Eng and R&D.
  • Oversee delivery of contractual requirements on funded projects.
  • Oversee steps towards obtaining/maintaining certifications with documentation.
  • Oversee documentation within Engineering and R&D.
  • Manage labeling/distribution approval of controlled/uncontrolled documents.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Silvus is seeking an Engineering Process Administrator who will report to the Vice President of Research and Development, with dotted line reporting to the Vice President of Engineering. The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and execution of appropriate engineering and R&D processes in the areas of security controls, documentation, certification, budgeting, schedules, and deliverables.

This position is on a hybrid schedule, a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On‑site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA.

The following is a list of some of the essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with the Human Resources (HR), Legal, Finance, and Information Technology (IT) teams to ensure that engineering processes meet requirements.
  • Draft and regularly update engineering process guidelines.
  • Maintain up to date physical and digital access controls in collaboration with the IT department.
  • Collaborate with other process managers responsible for CMMC, ISO, and other compliance services.
  • Compile monthly summary of schedules, budget, and other relevant status for Engineering and R&D departments.
  • Oversee the delivery of contractual requirements on funded engineering/R&D projects.
  • Oversee steps towards obtaining or maintaining various certifications with associated documentation.
  • Oversee the implementation and enforcement of documentation within the Engineering and R&D departments.
  • Manage the labeling and distribution approval process of controlled/uncontrolled documents and other materials.
  • Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in engineering process management or implementation work; OR High School diploma (or GED) and 8 years of experience in engineering process management or implementation work.
  • Demonstrated effective reporting and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with contractual requirements on engineering projects, particularly documentation and deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), PDF tools, and equivalent Google tools.
  • Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Master’s degree in a STEM or technical discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Office environment.
  • Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in the field.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
    • Lift equipment up to 20 lbs. for the set‑up of demonstrations and testing.
    • Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
    • Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
    • Walking/Moving in the labs.
COMPENSATION

Compensation: $75,000-$115,000 / annually.

The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidate’s education, experience and qualifications.

NOTE - As a US Federal Contractor, Silvus Technologies requires that ALL candidates being considered for employment for any position (regardless of level) MUST be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen). Stricter U.S. Citizen ONLY requirements (needed for some Engineering or R&D roles) will be included in the Required Qualifications section of the posted position. This does NOT apply to international positions; only job postings for positions located in the US.

All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
