Our Data Center Engineering Operations team maintains and operates our critical infrastructure systems to ensure readiness against any situation.

Our Engineering Operations Technicians (EOTs) help keep them that way by working with the brightest minds globally to test and implement new technology and work practices to meet market demands.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Conduct daily building rounds to monitor and record data from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability and availability.
  2. Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
  3. Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  4. Perform rack installations and decommissioning within SLA.
  5. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  6. Create technical documentation to support change management programs.
  7. Manage daily work requests to resolution and execute projects from conception to completion.
  8. Support on-site contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work complies with established practices, procedures, and legislation.
  9. Work schedule may vary, including shifts up to 12 hours and rotations, with some locations on-call.
  10. This role may support multiple locations/sites.
Physical Requirements
  • Willingness and ability to work in conditions including lifting up to 39 pounds, group lifts for over 40 pounds, working on ladders, and performing various physical tasks.
  • Work in environments requiring ear protection.
A day in the life

This role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting, reporting to a Data Center Facility Manager. Equipment includes generators, switchgear, UPS, PDU, batteries, chillers, cooling towers, water systems, air handlers, pumps, motors, fire/life safety systems, building automation, and general facilities equipment.

Basic Qualifications
  • Technical training (Military/Trade School) or 2+ years of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience in a mission-critical environment or relevant industry.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Data Center Engineering experience.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.

Compensation ranges from $68,300 to $152,700 annually, depending on location and experience. Additional benefits may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and other compensation. Apply via our career site. This position remains open until filled.
