The project engineer will design, execute and provide project management of GEA Custom Engineered Refrigeration Product contracts throughout engineering design, order execution and commissioning. Position holder will interact with many groups within GEA including: the Product Costing Group, the Sales team, the Global Operations factory for product manufacturing & scheduling, and Service Support for startup & system troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum Experience: Five to ten years total experience in applied engineering. Three to ten years’ experience in application and/or development of products for industrial refrigeration is preferred. Equivalent of preceding may be a Ph.D. in an engineering discipline.
Minimum Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong technical, analytical and organizational skills; ability to problem solve and resolve issues, detail oriented, strong interpersonal skills.
Highly desirable traits or skills: Knowledge of Industrial Refrigeration and/or HVAC; strong commitment to customer satisfaction, including other GEA organization units who provide project support; strong sense of urgency for task completion while ensuring accurate and quality results; creative problem-solving skills with the ability to envision ideas others may not.
