Job Summary and Responsibilities

Goldman Sachs is seeking talented MQ Engineers to join its enterprise messaging engineering team. The role involves hands-on engineering, automation development, and enhancing critical messaging technology with a focus on functional correctness, message durability, and system security.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, and operating production-grade IBM MQ infrastructure across various enterprise use cases.
• Knowledge of Basic and Advanced IBM MQ concepts.
• Experience configuring, upgrading, and maintaining IBM MQ Queue Managers.
• Understanding of UNIX and Networking fundamentals.
• Experience analyzing and resolving production issues.
• Ability to develop monitoring solutions, automation, and procedures to improve reliability and reduce manual work.
• Experience providing technical guidance on messaging infrastructure to application owners.
• Skill in managing complex requirements and defining clear delivery roadmaps for stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of security protocols such as TLS, Kerberos, OIDC/OAuth.
• Experience with JMS specifications.
• Familiarity with Elastic Search, BigQuery, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience with multiple enterprise messaging products like Kafka, Tibco EMS, RabbitMQ, etc.
