Position Details:

  • FTE: 1.0
  • Shift: Evenings
  • Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 14:30 - 23:00
Position Summary

The Engineering Mechanic II is an intermediate level role in our Facility Operations team. You will ensure patients and families have the best experience visiting MultiCare locations and facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems
  • Conduct daily operations and initiate corrective actions
  • Assist in training and mentoring staff
  • Collaborate on bids and inspections for external projects
  • Partner with a service-oriented attitude and uphold professional integrity
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Certification of Licensure in relevant areas preferred
  • Experience in at least six of the following areas: electrical, plumbing/mechanical, machine shop, general building maintenance, steam distribution, electronics, pneumatic systems, AGVS, CPD equipment, fire alarm systems, medical gas, beds, nurse call
  • Minimum five years of maintenance experience
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License and a safe driving record

Additional requirements for Mary Bridge Children's Hospital include:

  • Completion of Vocational Trade/Tech certification or Licensure in relevant areas
  • Medical gas ASSE 6040 certification post-hire
  • ASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker within 6 months of hire
  • On-call availability
