Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks an Engineering Manager – User Interface (UI) to lead the UI team for Security Director Cloud and On-Prem. This hybrid role combines people leadership, technical direction, and architectural oversight to deliver scalable, intuitive web apps and dashboards with modern front-end tooling.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years in software development, 3+ years of leadership, and a track record of delivering complex enterprise UI platforms across distributed teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of UI engineers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on innovation, quality, and customer impact.

• Collaborate with Product Management and UX teams to translate customer requirements into intuitive experiences.
• Lead design reviews, architecture discussions, technical planning, and release execution.
• Drive adoption of modern UI engineering practices, reusable component libraries, design systems, and Micro-Frontend architectures.
• Ensure software quality through code reviews, automated testing, performance optimization, security best practices, and governance.
• Work with cloud, platform, backend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end capabilities.
• Drive Agile, sprint planning, estimation, risk management, and release readiness.
• Identify and develop future technical leaders through coaching and mentoring.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and talent retention initiatives.
• Influence product direction and technology investments through leadership and business insight.

Job Description:

Security Director Cloud (SD Cloud) is a cloud-native Security Management Platform that provides centralized management, monitoring, policy administration, and automation for Juniper SRX Firewalls, vSRX, Secure Edge, and hybrid cloud security environments. It enables enterprises to manage security policies consistently across on-premises, cloud, and remote locations through a single web interface. SD Cloud also serves as HPE/Juniper's management portal for Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and supports unified policy management, Zero Trust security, Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP), threat visibility, analytics, automation, and API-driven integrations.

Security Director (On-Prem) is the on-premises version of the same security management platform. It centrally manages SRX and vSRX firewalls, providing policy lifecycle management, monitoring, configuration, logging, and automation through a web-based interface.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager – User Interface (UI) to lead the UI engineering team responsible for building and modernizing the user experience for Security Director Cloud and Security Director On-Prem. This role combines people leadership, technical direction, architecture oversight, and execution ownership to deliver highly scalable, intuitive, and visually compelling security management solutions.

The ideal candidate is a strong engineering leader with expertise in modern front-end technologies, cloud-native application development, and enterprise software platforms. The individual will drive engineering excellence, talent development, architecture evolution, and cross-functional collaboration across Product Management, UX, Backend, QA, and Platform teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of UI engineers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on innovation, quality, and customer impact.

Required Skills & Experience

• BE/BTech/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Typically 12+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years leading software engineering teams.
• Proven experience working on UI engineering
• Experience leading globally distributed teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
• Demonstrated success driving large-scale product delivery from conception through production.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience establishing engineering processes, development standards, and quality practices.
