Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a hands-on Engineering Manager for Systems Integration in Austin, TX. You will lead a team that builds, deploys, and maintains current infrastructure to support mission workflows and pre/post-mission data handling.

You will mentor engineers, drive Agile initiatives, and refine applications to meet evolving cyber security requirements while traveling up to 10% for on-site integration support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on Linux experience and scripting.
• Minimum 2 years proven experience managing a technical team.
• Solid understanding of software design concepts, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with virtualization, containers, and hypervisors (ESXi, RedHat KVM).
• Familiarity with distributed systems and networking automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Helm, Kubernetes).
• Experience leading Agile development teams and willingness to travel ~10%.
• Willing to work a hybrid schedule with onsite Austin, TX.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance (current TS/SCI preferred).

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a hands-on Integration Team Manager who will manage a team developing, maintaining and improving current infrastructure that provides pre-mission configuration management and post-mission data workflows to support the warfighter.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team that builds, deploys, configures, and maintains existing software systems
• Mentor and support staff engineers on technical and career topics
• Execute research, engineering, and development of solutions to support operational capabilities
• Lead team members and stakeholders in the development of roadmaps and other technical planning activities
• Refine and enhance existing applications to best meet customer/operational requirements
• Optimize legacy operational software as necessary to meet continuously evolving cyber security requirements
• Apply system level knowledge (OS and hardware) to be able to diagnose issues and provide solutions
• Profile, analyze, and optimize legacy software systems
• Demonstrate understanding of software life-cycle management (and tools)
• Travel onsite to assist with integration of operational systems and updates, as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field or other relevant experience
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Linux and scripting languages
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a technical team
• Solid understanding of software, complex design concepts, patterns, tools and best practices
• Basic understanding of virtualization, containerization, and configuring hypervisor (Broadcom ESXI, RedHat KVM) software
• Basic understanding of distributed systems and networking automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, Puppet, Helm or Kubernetes
• Demonstrated experience working in, and leading Agile development teams
• Able to travel approximately 10% of the time
• Willing to work a hybrid schedule with onsite requirements in Austin, TX
• Willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance. Current and active TS/SCI preferred.

Desired:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with a polygraph
• Previous work in a Continuous Integration pipeline
• Windows server administration experience
• IP networking experience
• SECURITY+ certification
• Experience with the RMF process, CVE remediation and common scanning tools (Nessus, Trivy, SonarQube, JFrog Xray)
• Hands-on experience with Trellix ePolicy Administrator or Enterprise Security Manager
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Java, Python, C#

The proposed salary range for this position is: $108,400 - 227,500 USD
