About The Role

As the Engineering Manager for Support Platform, you will lead a talented and passionate team of engineers focused on building and scaling the product platform that fosters customer satisfaction and long-term engagement. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of exceptional systems that are scalable, reliable, and unlock the best-in-class product and tech innovations. You’ll partner with PMs, ML engineers, and Strategy & Operations to define and execute a strategic roadmap that balances scalable platform development with cutting-edge product enhancements.

  • Lead and grow a team of exceptional backend and client-side engineers delivering end-to-end engineering solutions.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, business leaders, and key stakeholders to determine the team's roadmap and vision, and manage execution against that roadmap.
  • Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of 8+

  • Oversee the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Drive key business metrics such as customer engagement and retention.

  • BS, MS, or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams (backend & web) of 8+ engineers
  • 8+ years of industry experience
  • A customer-centric mindset and will apply that to building out platform services

  • Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization
  • Humility - willing to get into the details and open to feedback

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
