Job summary

Airbnb, Inc. is seeking a security leadership role to own and advance a portfolio of security products for engineers. You will drive secure development, identity and infrastructure protection, and partner with infrastructure and product teams to raise the security bar.

You will report into InfoSec leadership and mentor senior engineers, shaping product strategy and adoption. This remote-eligible role requires alignment with US regulations and collaboration across the Airbnb tech ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience managing a software engineering team in a fast-paced tech environment.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience.
• Strong product and design instinct with proven experience delivering well-designed experiences.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multiple engineering teams.
• Flexible leadership style adapting to various working approaches.
• Experience leading large initiatives with high business impact in security software or infrastructure.
• Commitment to operational excellence, raising quality, reliability and availability.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for a security product portfolio spanning secure SDLC, vulnerability management, infrastructure security, and platform identity.
• Drive product thinking: define the user, adoption, and deprecation strategies, measuring adoption.
• Identify security gaps and shape them into work for the team; present to leadership.
• Translate engineering progress into a narrative with dates, impact, and asks.
• Resolve ownership questions between teams before conflicts arise.
• Grow senior staff through sponsorship, including hiring and promotions.
