Job summary

Docker, Inc is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead two security‑focused teams responsible for trusted build and software supply chain services. You will guide delivery, architecture, and operator readiness while mentoring senior engineers across platforms.

You will balance roadmap priorities, drive incidents, and collaborate with Product and Security to ensure reliable, secure outcomes for Docker Scout and Hardened Images across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years managing high‑performing engineering teams across multiple domains
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend/infrastructure
• Experience leading and retaining engineers at or above your own seniority
• Strong leadership with technical judgement and distributed systems knowledge
• Ability to prioritize roadmaps and manage cross‑team commitments
• Experience with production on‑call, incident response and observability
• Clear written and verbal communication across time zones

Responsibilities

• Lead Secure Build and SCS Services teams and drive delivery, health and growth
• Turn two roadmaps into a coherent portfolio with priorities and capacity
• Partner with Product to shape strategy for secure build, Scout, and Hardened Images
• Stay close to technical work through design reviews and incident response
• Define interfaces between teams including trust boundaries and contracts
• Balance new product work with legacy systems and on‑call
• Coach engineers and grow leadership depth within both teams
• Align stakeholders across Product, Design, Security, Legal, and Sales
