Job summary

Procore is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Vault-backed identity platform team that issues short-lived credentials across our service estate. You will balance hands-on architecture with people leadership in a small, senior group.

Based in our Austin, TX office, you’ll partner closely with staff engineers on architectural decisions while guiding build-vs-buy analyses and ensuring secure, scalable credential management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing software or infrastructure engineering teams, including senior or staff ICs
• 7+ years total engineering experience in backend systems or platform engineering
• Direct experience with secrets management or identity infrastructure (Vault, OIDC, PKI, certificate lifecycle)

Responsibilities

• Drive migration to dynamic, identity-based credentials across Procore's services
• Improve developer experience for secrets management and credential lifecycle
• Build and mentor a small team across US and international time zones
• Own reliability of the secrets platform with SLOs and incident response
• Partner with Security Engineering to align investments with compliance needs
• Prioritize initiatives in a high-demand, limited-resource context
