Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Bellevue, WA seeks a Software Development Manager to lead the SageMaker Training team focused on model customization at scale. You will own the technical direction, drive architecture decisions, and manage production service health for critical training workloads.

You will hire and mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers, and defend the roadmap while delivering scalable distributed systems across large accelerator fleets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• 8+ years leading the development of multi-tier web services.
• Knowledge of the full software/hardware/network lifecycle.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring and managing software engineers.
• Ability to communicate requirements and designs to users and leadership.
