Job summary

Amazon in Bellevue, WA, is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the SageMaker Training and Model Customization team responsible for scalable, multi-tenant model customization capabilities. You’ll own the roadmap, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions for resilient training infrastructure.

The role focuses on building and operating production services with on-call health, metrics, and customer-request handling in a critical path.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• 8+ years leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Knowledge of the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle and live-site operations.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring and managing teams of Software Engineers.
