The role
The Robot Software team is responsible for the software that runs on our internal fleet of vehicles to enable autonomous driving and collect data for training new driving models. As the Engineering Manager for the Inference & Accelerators team, you will lead a motivated and talented team of engineers to deliver a reliable, stable and flexible software stack to support on-road experimentation by our model developers and scientists. Your work will enable these teams to iterate quickly and gather the data they need to improve our autonomous driving capabilities and support new product features, which is critical to the success of Wayve’s mission.
The Inference & Accelerators team sits at the fulcrum of Wayve’s AI technology by abstracting away the hardware and software from AI engineers who want to test and validate new ideas. Their software is delivered onto our development fleet and ensure the right data arrives in the right place at the right time in a way that is easy to dynamically configure. They work closely both with partner AI and machine learning compiler teams.Additionally, they support software layers which enable extending our inference abstractions to new target hardware and accelerators in development and validation environments.
Key responsibilities:
This is a full-time role based in our office in Sunnyvale. At Wayve we want the best of all worlds so we operate a hybrid working policy that combines time together in our offices and workshops to fuel innovation, culture, relationships and learning, and time spent working from home. We operate core working hours so you can determine the schedule that works best for you and your team.
