You will interface with program management and senior leadership, oversee design reviews, and act as SME on RF concerns, while supporting business opportunities and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in engineering or related field with 11+ years' experience.

• Deep knowledge of hardware and system-level design.
• Experience in passive microwave structures (hybrid couplers, filters, feeds).
• Experience with LNAs, power amplifiers, phase shifters, beam formers.
• PCB stack-up selection and PCB antenna fabrication knowledge.
• Proficiency with microwave analysis tools (AWR/ADS); HFSS preferred.
• Schematic capture and layout tools; PADS preferred.
• Data analysis and visualization with MATLAB or Python.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join the RF/Antenna Engineering group. The successful candidate will lead a small team of talented RF engineers engaged in the development of antennas and antenna systems supporting a variety of programs. Major areas include functional leadership, mentoring and oversight, process development and enforcement, interfacing with program management and senior leadership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of RF engineers and technologists focused on innovative solutions.
• Collaborate closely with program managers to maintain engineering support of a wide variety of active projects.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through training, performance management, and cross-departmental collaboration.
• Develop and refine processes to ensure engineering rigor, design review, and proper documentation.
• Lead the evaluation of software tools and test equipment.
• Participate in the development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities.
• Develop proposal content such as technical volumes and cost volumes.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison with senior management, regulatory bodies, external partners, and suppliers.
• Present project progress, strategic opportunities, and risk assessments to various stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and effective decision-making.
• Perform as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for company-wide RF-related concerns.
• Perform as an individual contributor as required.

Job Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering or a related technical field as well as eleven or more years of progressively complex engineering experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Must have experience in project leadership and possess the ability to organize, plan, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines.
• Must have a general understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Must have a strong understanding of hardware and system level design.
• Must have experience in the design of passive microwave structures such as hybrid couplers, filters, and antenna feed circuits using multi-layer PCB technology.
• Must have experience implementing active surface-mount components such as LNAs, power amplifiers, phase shifters, and beam formers.
• Must have experience selecting PCB stack-ups and have detailed knowledge of PCB antenna fabrication techniques to work with suppliers.
• Must have proficiency with microwave circuit analysis software such as AWR or ADS. Proficiency with HFSS desired.
• Must have familiarity with schematic capture and layout tools. Experience with PADS is preferred.
• Must have the ability to manipulate data, perform analysis, and generate data visualization products in MATLAB or Python.
• Must have strong laboratory / field testing skills and have experience with test equipment, such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Must have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to enable an effective leadership interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.
• Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment.
• Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.

Job Type: Full-Time Salary

Salary range: 130,500 - 228,375
