Job summary

OLIO seeks an Engineering Manager to develop people, drive technical decisions, and scale the OLIO app and volunteer portal. You will report to the CTO and join the engineering leadership, focusing on product development for the app and systems that govern the Food Waste Heroes Programme, as well as internationalization and rapid market entry.

Over the next 2.5 years, OLIO plans to grow to 150+ engineers, expand revenue and user base, and scale presence across international markets while

Qualifications

• Experience hiring and leading a team of 7 FTEs.
• Accountability for technical delivery and product quality.
• Defining technology investments to improve mobile app performance and reduce debt.
• Overseeing the team’s health and engagement, fostering inclusive learning.
• Collaborating with engineering leaders to set best practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Hire and mentor a 7-person team and onboard effectively.
• Own technical delivery and ensure product quality in collaboration with Product and senior developers.
• Define, prioritize and execute technology investments to improve app performance and reduce debt.
• Allocate people to technology investments and business projects while maintaining health and engagement.
• Foster an engineering culture of excellence and career development through feedback and coaching.
