Job summary

Boulevard is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers powering a client experience platform for self-care businesses. You will balance technical leadership with people management, driving a culture of excellence while delivering scalable features for salons, spas, and medspas.

You will guide architecture, collaborate with Product and Design, and own delivery across engagement, commerce, scheduling, and platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years of people management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams, with a track record of building inclusive, high‑performing teams.
• Strong technical background and the ability to provide architectural guidance.
• Experience with agile development and delivery management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing remote teams and collaborating asynchronously.
• Plus: experience in B2B SaaS or marketing platforms; a background in payment systems, scheduling, or commerce platforms; experience with Elixir, React; MBA or advanced degree.

How we'll take care of you

At Boulevard, we work hard to structure compensation in a way that balances internal equity with local market competitiveness, and we're happy to share a good‑faith estimate of the base salary range for this role. For candidates in NYC, the SF Bay Area, and Seattle, the anticipated base salary range is $173,000-$216,500 per year. For all other U.S. locations, the anticipated base salary range is $153,500-$211,200 per year. For candidates in Canada, the anticipated base salary range is CAD $186,200-$233,000 per year. In addition to this base compensation, this role may be eligible to participate in a variable compensation program. Final compensation will vary based on a variety of factors which include but are not limited to applicable experience, location, and final leveling.
