Strava, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Privacy and Login team in a flexible hybrid model with on-site time in our San Francisco office three days a week.

You will own how athletes sign up, log in, and manage their privacy across iOS, Android, and web, balancing hands-on work with technical leadership. The role emphasizes product engineering fundamentals, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to ramp quickly in a high-trust domain.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strong fullstack or product engineering background, with backend and consumer-facing UI experience.
• Comfort ramping up on systems that keep user accounts secure and easy to access.
• Lead ambiguous, high-stakes technical problems and drive platform consistency across devices.
• Product-minded approach balancing user experience with data protection.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical roadmap for sign-up, login, password management and account recovery.
• Build reliable login experiences across iOS, Android and web on a unified foundation.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, Trust & Safety, and Legal for compliance and platform integrity.
• Drive consistency of login, privacy, and account experiences across platforms.
• Monitor login success rates and recovery flows and iterate on privacy controls.
• Lead with hands-on contribution while providing clear technical leadership.
• Establish best practices and a mentoring culture across the team.
