Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering for the Dallas/Fort Worth area with a hybrid schedule. You will lead two teams totaling ~10 engineers, shape technical direction, and drive platform modernization across .NET, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.

The role balances people management with hands-on leadership, fosters AI-assisted development and scalable design, and offers high-visibility platform ownership in a growing Dallas-area presence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering management experience.
• Experience leading distributed or offshore engineering teams.
• .NET / C# background with microservices experience.
• Experience building distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• API design and integration experience.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred).
• Agile leadership and sprint planning experience.
• Team coaching and mentorship.
• Technical design review and architectural leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead two engineering teams consisting of approximately 10 engineers.
• Drive engineering execution, planning, and delivery.
• Participate in architecture and system design discussions.
• Coach engineers and technical leads.
• Improve software quality and development practices.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership.
• Support modernization efforts and platform scalability initiatives.
• Build strong collaboration between U.S. and offshore teams.
• Establish metrics and accountability frameworks.
• Promote adoption of AI development tools and best practices.
