The Honeywell Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) business provides efficient, customizable, and sustainable liquefaction solutions, combining proven technology with decades of experience in LNG equipment manufacture and operation. LNG's equipment is designed by our engineering organization and fabricated at our manufacturing facility in Port Manatee, FL, or other domestic and international third-party facilities. Our customers utilize this equipment to liquefy extracted natural gas, significantly enhancing its transportability as an energy source to end users globally.
The Plant Systems Engineering Manager will be based in our Honeywell LNG Headquarters located in Allentown, PA.
Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F
You will be part of Honeywell's Manufacturing & Design Engineering (MDE) organization, with solid line reporting to the MDE Director.
The role will be responsible for staffing, skills management, professional development, workload forecasting, and technical execution by the members of the MDE Plant Systems Engineering team. This group includes multiple disciplines - Controls Engineering, Instrumentation & Electrical Engineering, and Process Systems Engineering (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) Development and Ownership). The successful candidate will continue to grow and develop this team to meet the growing needs of the LNG business in terms of new LNG liquefaction plant designs and equipment offerings, project bidding, project execution, plant design basis development, and Aftermarket controls offerings. As team manager, the candidate will also develop forward technical and execution strategies for these disciplines, setting project scope breaks and deciding when to specify and outsource, leverage additional Honeywell resources, or self-execute. The position will require occasional domestic and international travel to other Honeywell sites, supplier locations, and customer locations.
