Job summary

Nestlé Purina is seeking an Engineering Manager for our Rockingham County facility near the Virginia border. You will lead engineering and maintenance to ensure safe, reliable plant operations and manage capital projects, utilities, and process improvements.

Mastery in engineering leadership, budgeting, and contractor management is required, as is a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 7+ years in manufacturing. We offer a comprehensive rewards package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 7+ years of progressive engineering experience with leadership and project management in manufacturing or related environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the capital budget for equipment and facilities.
• Inspect equipment design, evaluation, and troubleshooting across the plant.
• Coordinate operation of steam, power, HVAC, water, and utility systems to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Oversee outside contractors to ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budgeting standards.
• Direct installation or modification of equipment for assigned projects.
• Provide leadership and training to engineering and maintenance staff.
• Coordinate staffing within the department to meet plant objectives.
• Establish performance metrics for Engineering and Maintenance and administer appraisals.
• Review and approve equipment purchase orders, service contracts, and plant service agreements.
