Job summary
Nestlé Purina North America is seeking an Engineering Manager for a high‑volume pet food facility near the Virginia border. You will lead engineering and maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations, directing capital projects, utilities management, and process improvements for a Rockingham County plant.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with 7+ years of progressive manufacturing experience and a track record in leadership and project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
- 7+ years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing or related environments.
- Experience leading teams and managing projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and coordinate the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities.
- Inspect and advise on equipment design, evaluation and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate operation of utilities and plant systems to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Oversee outside contractors and ensure compliance with company standards (sanitation, safety, quality, budgeting).
- Direct installation or modification of equipment for projects.
- Provide leadership and training for maintenance and engineering staff.
- Coordinate staffing and performance appraisal within the department.
