AngelList is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Nova Product engineering team. This hands-on, player-coach role will guide the team responsible for the TypeScript codebase powering subscriptions, data rooms, distributions and the LP wallet.

You will grow the team, partner with product and design to shape the roadmap, set the technical vision, and unblock work while staying close enough to code to help when needed. Reports to Head of Nova Engineering.

About the Role

Nova is building the banking and payments network for private markets. Funds, fund administrators, and their investors use its software to manage subscriptions, capital calls, and distributions. Today, Nova supports $1.2B+ in deposits, $100M+ in weekly transfers across six bank integrations, and ~150k verified investors. These are some of the highest-stakes moments in the private markets. Fund managers, investors, and administrators are moving real money and expect every detail to be right. Nova earns and keeps the trust of GPs and LPs by meeting that expectation every time.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and grow Nova Product. This team owns the TypeScript codebase for the entire customer experience, including subscriptions, data rooms, distributions, capital calls, and the emerging LP wallet and investor portal. This is a hands-on, player-coach role. You'll spend most of your time growing the team, driving the roadmap with product and design partners, and setting the technical vision. You'll stay close enough to the code to unblock and support the team, but you typically won't write critical-path code. As the Product group grows, you'll help shape how it is organized. You'll report to the Head of Nova Engineering.
