Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead a small data science-enabled team focused on tooling for mining and sampling safety-related data from driving logs.

You will guide ML and evaluation efforts, build scalable automation, and contribute hands-on to both engineering and data science projects. The role emphasizes strong quantitative skills, team leadership for up to 8 engineers, and collaboration with multiple technical domains to scale evaluation and ML development

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Statistics, Physics, Math, or other quantitative area
• 7+ years of industry experience
• Experience with C++, SQL, and Python
• Building data processing pipelines

Responsibilities

• Develop tools for mining of novel situations from driving logs for evaluation and ML datasets
• Apply advanced sampling techniques and tuning of simulations to improve metrics
• Build automation for mining and sampling ecosystem to scale to new cities
• Contribute technically to engineering and data science projects
• Provide management and technical leadership for a small team of engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional leads to align strategy across product, engineering, data science, frontend and backend
