Apella Technology seeks a senior leader to align ML engineering, data platforms, and healthcare operations. You will shepherd three technical teams from research to production, translating clinical needs into scalable architectures and reliable deployments.

You will mentor engineers, set priorities, define roadmaps, and collaborate with product, clinical, operations, and research stakeholders to drive measurable real-world impact while working remotely.

Responsabilités

• Intersections of applied ML, surgical healthcare operations, and ML Ops infrastructure
• Lead three technical teams spanning ML Engineering for computer vision and forecasting and Data Platform
• Ensure ML systems move from research to production, delivering real-world impact
• Direct daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines
• Mentor, hire and grow the department of engineers and data engineers across three teams
• Manage ML system architecture, model deployment, and data platform design and execution
• Ensure ML solutions are production-grade, scalable, observable, cost effective and maintainable
• Drive best practices for ML model lifecycle management, data pipelines, and system reliability
• Collaborate with Product, Clinical, Operations, and Research stakeholders to translate needs into priorities
• Define ML and data platform goals and roadmaps balancing near-term wins with long-term scalability
• Lead teams working on distinct but interdependent problem spaces
• Will work remotely

Duties: Requiring limited supervision;

• This role is an intersection of applied machine learning, surgical healthcare operations, and the data and machine learning Ops infrastructure
• Lead three highly technical teams spanning Machine Learning Engineering for computer vision and forecasting and our Data Platform team.
• Ensure machine learning systems move reliably from research to production, delivering measurable real-world impact.
• Direct daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.
• Manage, mentor, hire and grow the department of engineers and data engineers across three distinct teams
• Manage machine learning system architecture, model deployment, and data platform design and execution
• Ensure machine learning solutions are production-grade, scalable, observable, cost effective and maintainable
• Drive best practices for machine learning model lifecycle management, data pipelines, and system reliability
• Work closely with Product, Clinical, Operations, and Research stakeholders to translate business and clinical needs into clear technical priorities
• Define the machine learning and data platform goals and roadmaps, balancing near-term wins with long-term scalability
• Lead teams working on distinct but interdependent problem spaces
• Will work remotely
