Job summary

Meta is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for the MTIA Software team to lead LLVM compiler infrastructure and early software platforms such as simulators. You will influence ISA design and hardware/software co-design decisions while driving pre-silicon development for AI workloads on accelerators.

You will manage teams of engineers and technical leaders on large-scale projects, staying hands-on to evaluate direction, and mentoring engineers into AI-era leaders while upholding engineering

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in managing a software team.
• Demonstrated experience in managing other managers.
• Proven understanding of executing full product lifecycles (prototyping, deployment, and support).
• Experience adhering to ethical AI practices (risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality reviews).
• Knowledge of ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, MXNet).
• Experience with RISC-V architecture and tooling.
• Experience with GPU/CUDA or OpenCL/OpenMP for high-performance compute.

Responsibilities

• Drive development of the LLVM compiler toolchain and simulators across large-scale projects.
• Mentor engineers and technical leaders; ensure code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with hardware, frameworks, and model teams to shape strategy and roadmap.
