Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Tucson, Arizona, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 10 design engineers within the Rigid Frame Trucks Engineering Organization.

You will oversee design, analysis, and value chain collaboration across the Large Mining Trucks and Dynamic Energy Transfer product lines. This role covers NPI and CPI initiatives, strategic engineering leadership, cross-functional collaboration with purchasing, manufacturing, and platform teams, and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Technical excellence in light structures, heavy structures, or analytical domains.
• Experience leading NPI initiatives and CPI efforts.
• Proven ability to manage people and resolve performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute engineering initiatives aligning with long-term goals.
• Oversee product design, analysis, and lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with engineering, platform, purchasing, and manufacturing teams.
• Drive safety, quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency across processes.
• Mentor and develop a diverse, high-performing team and recruit top talent.
• Oversee engineering R&D and maintenance budgets.
