Job summary

NCE is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Lake Tahoe basin and Sierra Region engineering practice. In this role you will manage a team of engineers, designers, scientists, and planners, working with senior leadership to expand capabilities across northern Nevada and California.

Occasional travel to Reno, Sacramento, and Richmond is expected with advance notice. You will oversee proposals, client relations, and design delivery, while mentoring staff and aligning with strategic business

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, hydrology, or related field.
Licensed engineer in California or Nevada (or able to obtain within six months).
Minimum of 10 years of work experience, preferably with a consulting practice.
Minimum of 5 years managing teams of technical professionals in engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Leadership – Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team, work with senior colleagues to achieve strategic and business plan goals, and recruit talented professionals.
Business Development – Collaboratively work with senior technical leaders and NCE’s business development team to identify and win work, manage clients, and develop scopes and fees.
Project Management and Technical Delivery – Manage projects, technical teams, and client expectations. Oversee the development and delivery of design processes, engineering products, and quality control engineering deliverables.
