Job summary

Plata is building the systems behind its financial products and this role leads a backend engineering team. You will own delivery, technical direction and people growth, working with product and other engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable services.

Lead, mentor and grow a team of engineers, own roadmaps, drive architecture for high-load distributed systems, and collaborate with product to align technical work with business goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading a software engineering team
• 5+ years of hands-on backend development in robust, high-scale distributed systems
• Strong Java/Kotlin experience, JVM ecosystem, Kubernetes and AWS
• Experience designing and operating production systems with high throughput and reliability
• Product-oriented mindset with ability to tie technical work to business metrics
• English at B2 or higher for international collaboration
