What You’ll Do
  • Manage, mentor, and recruit a team of full-stack software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration.
  • Partner with Product and Design to define roadmaps, plan sprints, and ensure the successful, timely delivery of user and customer configuration tools built on Addepar's identity platform.
  • Oversee the team's technical strategy as they migrate Addepar's authentication experiences to new platforms, ensuring global availability and scalable user experiences.
  • Align architectural, strategic identity investments with product-driven improvements, acting as a key stakeholder in technical design and architecture reviews.
  • Support the team's operational health by implementing agile best practices, managing technical debt, and maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and production stability.
Who You Are
  • Extensive professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years of experience directly managing or leading software engineering teams.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Solid background in full-stack development (e.g., Java/object-oriented backend systems and modern web frameworks like React, Svelte, or Ember) to effectively guide technical discussions and system design
  • Deep understanding of identity fundamentals, secure session management, and modern authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWTs, SAML)
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, and retain top engineering talent while managing performance and supporting career growth
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to explore complex problem spaces objectively from multiple perspectives.
